Poker Room Review, Bonuses & Downloads

Poker Room is another online poker room that's been around for a long time and has a good player following. In addition to poker they offer some casino games on the side; including blackjack, slots, let it ride and video poker.

Because of some recent updates, there are actually a number of play/download options available to Poker Room patrons. They offer 2 download versions, a 'light' version and a 3D version with enhanced graphics. Because the light versions are Java-based and don't require a download; games are available for Windows, Mac and even Linux platforms.

The 3D, download version 4 includes all the poker variations except Chinese Poker, which is still only available through the Java-based browser version.

Overall, Poker Room offers a solid poker experience with the latest download software, and a good game of poker you can pick up on with any computer through the light browser-based versions. I highly recommend it, but suggest you stick with the download version unless there's a compelling reason otherwise. (Chinese Poker or portability)

Currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, NETeller, Firepay, PrePaid ATM, 900 Pay and Money Bookers.

Poker Room's latest software package is powered by Ongame e-solutions AB, a Swedish based online casino game development company. Above is a screenshot from Poker Room's '3D' version. The light versions also play well but at the sacrifice of some graphic quality.

New players can receive a 20% bonus up to $100 in free chips on their first deposit, but to receive the bonus requires a certain amount of play before you are eligible. Loyalty points are also awarded, and may be cashed in at increments as low as $1.

You don't actually have to download Poker Room, as Poker Room offers a light version that is Java/browser based. I prefer the download version, but the no-download certainly has it's uses including portability (play at home, play on any computer) at the sacrifice of graphic quality. Click on 'download poker games' to get the best quality, or 'Play Poker Now' button to launch the no-download version. Poker Room offers frequent tournaments including special event games, but only Texas Hold'em.

Customer Service:
Customer service has been a little over-burdened lately, and loses quite a few points for not having a posted telephone number (toll free or otherwise) for quick contacts at the moment.

Support:
Please visit Poker Room and use their online forms. No contact numbers are available at this time.
