Planet Poker Review, Bonuses & Downloads

Planet Poker is the oldest online poker room around, yet it doesn't have as much action these days as it once did in the grand scheme of things. Once bustling with activity, Planet Poker still has it's followers, but there are a lot of empty tables when compared to newer poker rooms.

Still, it does have it's redeeming qualities. For one, it's the only online poker room to offer draw poker, which appeals to a lot of people accustomed to playing 'home games'.

While they're not wildly popular, Planet Poker also offers Razz and Lowball, other poker variants you won't fond elsewhere when you're playing online.

The game action itself plays well, with a good layout, intuitive and quick play. Unfortunately, the menu system is a little frustrating - listing number of players, stakes, etc. like most poker rooms - yet not letting you sort by these options. It's not a huge deal, but can make finding the right table a little trickier than most poker rooms.

The network as a whole runs very well and the fast play is enjoyable if you can find a table you're happy with, but overall, unless you're looking to play draw poker I can't really recommend Planet Poker as your best bet, mostly because of the insufficient player base during off-peak hours.

VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, FirePay, P$e-direct (US only), bank draft, wire transfer, money order, personal check, account transfers from VIP Sports, Casino Vegas and Bingo Vega.

* Razz is dealt the same as Seven Card Stud, except the "worst" (lowest) hand wins. Aces are low, straights and flushes have no ranking, and the best hand is A-2-3-4-5, commonly known as a wheel. If you keep getting dealt low cards in Seven Card Stud, this may be your game.

Planet Poker was the first poker online poker room to open, and used it's own proprietary (ASF Software Inc). The software has seem some upgrades over the years of course :)
