No Download Poker Rooms
There aren't a lot of no-download poker rooms available for online poker players, mostly because most people prefer the downloadable poker clients, and because
unlike casino downloads, poker rooms are generally small (within the 3-4 MB range for the average poker download). Personally, I like downloadable clients
myself, since you don't have to wait for any initial load once you've got the software installed, and the game play is more reliable in my opinion.
Still; no download poker rooms do have their own advantages, you can play from multiple locations/computers without having to download the client each time,
and if you have a very, very small hard drive that can't accommodate the space of a download, there's that too (I haven't seen too many hard drive's that
can't spare 4MB these days.)
The biggest advantage of no-download poker rooms is that Macintosh users can play! Because the games are essentially browser-based, there's no problem using
it as a Mac poker room if you've been unable to download the PC versions offered everywhere else. Even Linux/Unix are supported, basically anywhere you can
launch a browser.
Where can you play at a no-download poker room?
While there still isn't a lot of variety, there are fortunately a growing number of venues that offer no download clients in addition to
downloadable poker clients. Here's our top picks:

The tables actually look very good for a no-download version while still launching fairly quickly.
The sound effects are a little weak, but overall it does a good job of emulating the downloadable software.
