Poker Room Offering Cell Phone Poker
In a new development for online poker - PokerRoom.com has begun to offer their online poker room to customers via mobile phone devices.
The service will eventually offer players the same games, tournaments and opponents as their previous no-download and download versions of the poker room software, but has currently rolled out offering only Limit Texas Hold’em, both for real money and ‘just for fun’ play.
The new offering has some people concerned - is poker becoming too accessable? There have been some increased concerns about the possibility of underage play, and the legalities surrounding using a mobile phone for online gaming for US players. It is possible that while legalities surrounding internet gambling has been a ‘grey area’ - older laws may apply for what could be considered wagers over the phone.
