Not to be outdone by other competitors innovating in the field, Europe’s Tribeca Tables (a network of online poker rooms powered by the same software) has signed on to a 5 year deal with Phantom Fiber Corporation to develop a wireless poker system.

Los Angeles, CA (Sept. 29, 2005) WPT Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: WPTE) has confirmed that a cable television network has withdrawn a previous offer to acquire the broadcast rights to the Professional Poker Tour (”PPT”). WPTE is currently negotiating with The Travel Channel, LLC (Travel) to reach an agreement under which Travel would broadcast the PPT series.

Bravo’s hit original series “Celebrity Poker Showdown” will return for an all-new tournament featuring twenty-five stars competing for the series’ highest prize pot ever with a total of one million dollars going to charity. On Thursday, October 13 (9:00-11:00 p.m.ET/PT), the seventh tournament of “Celebrity Poker Showdown” will premiere, consisting of six all-new, two-hour episodes hosted by Dave Foley joined by poker expert Phil Gordon, overseeing celebrities such as Carlos Bernard, Joey Fatone, Gina Gershon, James Woods, Kevin Nealon, Kelli Williams, Oksana Baiul and Dean Cain all competing for serious cash.
