While Golden Palace is notorious for their casino (and the off-the-wall advertising that they use for it), their poker room doesn't enjoy quite as much popularity. With a respectable user base,
easy to use software and good customer service however, it's definitely worth a peek.
It's very user friendly for new players. There are large-format cards that are easy to read, lots of sound and visual prompts (without being annoying) and many low-stakes tables available.
The games even tell you what you've folded, so you can follow along with the hand even after you're out.
Experienced users will appreciate the fast gaming action, as this is by far one of the quickest rooms around. A solid server offers great response time, so you're able to get a lot of hands in every
hour when everyone is in the groove, even on full tables.
On the downside, Golden Palace Poker doesn't offer any stud games whatsoever, keeping it strictly Hold'em with Texas, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo tables. They're one of the few poker rooms
that offers Omaha and Hi-Lo tournaments however, so that alone can make the an easy choice for those of you that enjoy these games.

nice to play on, if you can overlook the lack of game selection and a smaller (but growing) user base.

Golden Palace offers poker tournaments in three different game types; Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi-Lo. This includes pick up games (single table) and multi-table events.
While single table Omaha tournaments aren't wildly popular, Golden Palace does offer regular scheduled tournaments with advanced registration - which beats what most rooms offer
for Omaha tournaments (which is nothing.)
There is a fairly active community for the low end Texas Hold'em sit-and go tournaments as well, which makes for good, inexpensive practice. Not the place to look for large tournament events
however, they are few and far between.
